On 23 August 2026, the Don Bosco Anbu Illam – Child Friendly Salem Team organised a Cricket Tournament for 80 young people aged 15–18 from Pachapatti, Nanjampatti, Andipatti and Kurinji Nagar. Theme: “Play Together, Stay Strong – Build Friendship and Brotherhood” The tournament was more than just a game—it was an opportunity for young people to come together, build friendships, develop teamwork, promote healthy recreation and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood beyond community boundaries. The tournament was inaugurated by Director Fr. Amala Jeya Rayan, Assistant Director Fr. Dennis, Mr. Babu, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, and Mr. Mohan, Social Worker. Prizes were presented to the Winner and Runner-up teams, and certificates were distributed to all participants in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation. Through sports, we believe that young people can learn the values of teamwork, respect, friendship, leadership and unity. Together we play. Together we grow. Together we build a stronger community.
